The suggestions that Darren Ferguson could be a candidate for the Queens Park Rangers job; seem to have tailed off today.

Perhaps the intervention of our owner, Mr MacAnthony, may have had something to do with it.

In the local press Mr MacAnthony fires a broadside in the general direction of Loftus Road, remarking,

‘I would not entertain an approach for Fergie and to be honest, why would he want to look at QPR anyhow? Just ask Iain Dowie what it was really like for them.”

‘Anyway once we win League One I have no doubt that a Premiership club will be in for the gaffer and that will be the only way I will even consider entertaining this type of conversation.”

‘I am sure that Darren will state the same on the issue.’

That`s told them!
