The man in charge of the Sky Bet League One match between Blackpool and Peterborough United on Sunday is EDDIE ILDERTON.

Tyne and Wear based official Eddie Ilderton will take charge of his twelfth Posh match on Sunday when they play Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.

The experienced official has been a referee in the Football League for fifteen seasons and in that time has officiated 18 Tangerines matches with the last one coming almost a year ago when they hosted Barnet in a League Two clash. The hosts fought back from two goals down to draw two-all while they picked up two of the five yellow cards shown in the match.

That draw was one of seven matches they`ve drawn with Ilderton as the man in the middle while losing a third of their matches under his watchful eye.

Posh have an even worse record under Ilderton than the Tangerines after losing 5 of their 11 matches while winning just two of those games.

The last time Ilderton officiated Posh was just four weeks ago when Posh traveled in a similar direction to Blackpool but this time it was to Wigan Athletic. The match ended goalless but that was only down to yet another incorrect off-side decision against Posh which would`ve won the match in the dying moments for Posh! Two yellow cards were issued in the game with both of them going to Posh.

So far this season Ilderton has officiated 19 matches issuing 57 yellow cards and 6 red cards.

His last match came on Tuesday evening when Oxford United traveled to Rotherham United. The Millers eased to a three-one victory which saw them move up to fourth in League One leapfrogging Scunthorpe United who were drawing with two-all with Posh. No cards were shown during the Millers match on Tuesday.

The assistant referees for the Blackpool v Posh clash are Joe Simpson and Mark Cunliffe. The fourth official is Peter Gooch.
