The man in charge of the Sky Bet League One match between Peterborough United and Brentford is ANDREW MADLEY.

Andy Madley

Andy Madley only has a couple of seasons experience refereeing in the Football League but is following in the footsteps of his brother Robert.

The West Yorkshire based official has taken charge of three Posh matches during his two and a half seasons in the Football League with Posh losing all three matches! The last time was the 4-2 defeat at the hands of Bristol City in the Championship last season when Lee Tomlin was sent off in the 12th minute of the match when a City defender went down theatrically at a throw-in! The other two defeats were at the start of last season when Posh went down 2-1 to Milwall at London Road and mid-season the previous year when they went down to a single Robert Koren goal at Hull City.

This match will be the first time Madley has officiated a Brentford match.

So far this season, Madley has refereed 21 matches issuing 64 yellow cards and four red cards.

His last match came on Sunday when he took charge of the Oxford match with Scunthorpe which Scunny won 2-0. Both sides received one yellow card each. The last League One match he officiated came in mid-December when Carlisle United hosted Tranmere Rovers. The Cumbrians won 4-1 while both sides received two yellow cards.

The assistant referees for this match will be Michael George and Steven Meredith. The fourth official is Nigel Murphy.
