The man in charge of the npower Championship match between Peterborough United and Brighton and Hove Albion is ROBERT MADLEY.

It`s rookie ref time again!!This time we have a referee who is in his third season as a Football League referee!

The West Yorkshire based referee has taken charge of Posh twice in his League career but you have to go back to his inaugural season (2010/11) when he took charge of those matches. However, they were happy ones for Posh as they came away from Walsall with a 3-1 win with the only yellow card going to the home side while the second game finished 2-1 to Posh but Posh had to thank loanee Jonathan Obika for the 90th minute winner. As with the first match, Posh didn`t receive any yellow cards but the visitors, Brentford, were shown two yellow cards.

Brighton have only had Madley once and that came in January of this season. It was all square in the match against Blackburn Rovers as the match finished 1-1 while both sides received three yellow cards each. Both goals came from the penalty spot at the end of each half. Jordan Rhodes opened the scoring from the spot in the 45th minute while David Lopez equalized from the spot in the 90th minute!

So far this season, Madley has issued 93 yellow cards in his 34 games he`s refereed while showing five red cards. Three of the red cards have come in Championship matches.

His last match came on Saturday when Wycombe overcame Aldershot by two goals to one while Wycombe also received two yellow cards to Aldershots one yellow card.

Madley`s last Championship match came at the start of April when he oversaw the promotion battle between Hull City and Watford. Troy Deeney was the match winner on that day as his single first half goal was the difference between the two teams. Watford`s Joel Ekstrand was the only player to receive a yellow card in that match.

The assistant referees for this match will be Adam Crysell and Declan Ford. The fourth official is Guy Stretton.
