The man in charge of the Sky Bet League One match between Peterborough United and Walsall is LEE SWABEY.

Lee Swabey will be the official in tonight`s game between Posh and the Saddlers, should the match go ahead and that Swabey makes the long journey from Devon!

Swabey is in his third season as a Football League referee and in that time has officiated one Posh match and one Walsall match.

The sole Posh match came last March when Oldham Athletic turned up at the ABAX Stadium and battle out a one-all draw. The Latics took an eleventh minute lead through Lee Erwin before Posh levelled things in the 73rd minute via substitute Junior Morias. Three yellow cards were shown in the match with all three going to Posh players!

You have to go back to April 2016 to find the Saddlers match officiated by Swabey. That was for a League One clash at Bramall Lane in which the hosts, Sheffield United, won two-nil with both goals coming five minutes apart just after the half-an-hour point. Three cards were also shown in this match but the Saddlers only picked up one of the yellow cards.

So far this season, Swabey has taken charge of just 11 matches issuing 39 yellow cards and one red card.

The last match Swabey officiated came at the end of January in the League Two clash between Cheltenham Town and Barnet. Former Posh central defender Ricardo Almieda Santos opened the scoring after just two minutes but the hosts hit back in the 65th minute. Four yellow cards were issued during the game with three going to Bees players.

The last League One match refereed by Swabey came the week before the Cheltenham match but he had a similar journey as this time he headed to Bristol for a clash between Rovers and Bradford City. The Bantams struck first via the penalty spot, seven minutes before half-time but three second-half goals saw all the points staying in Bristol. Just one yellow card was issued in the match which went to a Rovers player.

The assistants for the match are Kevin Howick and Lee Freeman. The fourth official is Antony Coggins.
