The man in charge of the Sky Bet EFL League One match between Walsall and Peterborough United is SEBASTIAN STOCKBRIDGE.

Referee Seb Stockbridge sends off Jack Baldwin v Oxford

Posh have seen two contrasting referees in their last two matches; one of whom got his cards out as often as he could resulting in 10 yellow cards and two red cards with the other official keeping his cards in his pocket.

If previous matches where Stockbridge has refereed Posh are anything to go by then he could be more like card happy Keith Stroud.

Stockbridge has officiated seven Posh matches so far and has shown a red card to a Posh player in three of those matches! The last Posh player to receive his marching orders was current captain Jack Baldwin after picking up two yellows in the match at Oxford United in August last season.

As well as that match against the Yellows, Stockbridge refereed three Posh matches in total last season. The other two saw Posh slump 5-1 at Bury in January and then draw three-all at relegation doomed Chesterfield in March. Three yellow cards were shown in the Spireites game with all of them going to the Derbyshire side.

Walsall have had Stockbridge officiate them six times in the four years he has been refereeing in the Football League and they have yet to win! They`ve drawn three and lost three with the last match coming in January when they lost two-nil at home to Rochdale. Five yellow cards were shown in the match with three going to the visitors.

The last match Stockbridge officiated was on Tuesday evening at Scunthorpe. The Iron lost their first match of the season as they went down one-nil to a resurgent Blackburn Rovers side. Just one yellow card was issued during the game which went to Rovers substitute Danny Graham.

The assistant referees for the Saddlers v Posh clash are Darren Strain and Kevin Morris. The fourth official is Grant Taylor.
