League One rivals Bristol City are interested in signing Mark Little after the defender rejected a new contract at Peterborough United.

Mark Little v Bristol City

The Robins were rumoured to be interested in signing former Posh captain Tommy Rowe but having failed in that attempt, they have now set their sights on another Posh player. This time it`s attacking right back Mark Little who has turned down the offer of a new contract at Posh.

Little tried to get a move at the end of the 2012/13 season but failed to find a club willing to take him on so he returned to Posh for another season but this time he is determined to move on from London Road when his contract officially ends this month.

Bristol City have already held talks with Little`s agent and discussions are now at an advanced stage.

With Little moving on and Craig Alcock being released, it leaves a gap at right back as Posh now only have youth players in their squad that could fill the position. Ricardo Santos did do reasonably well in his debut appearance in that position at the end of last season while Michael Richens is also on the periphery of the squad although he is on the transfer list as he enters the last year of his contract.

With Kgosi Ntlhe the only recognised senior left back, it is certain Posh will be looking to bring in at least one full back prior to the start of the season.
