This is what you missed out on Leicester
Lee Tomlin finally gets a chance to show Leicester City what they missed out on after releasing him 6 years ago.
Hailing from Leicester, Lee Tomlin grew up wanting to play for his home town club. He used to be a ball-boy and was also in the youth set-up from the age of 9 until he was released when he was 16 years old.
It was hard to accept at the time but six years later, Tomlin finally gets a chance to return to Leicester, but this time as part of the opposition.
Speaking ahead of the game, Tomlin said: “Leicester away is the big game for me though. It`s the first fixture I looked for when they came out.
“It`s where I`m from, it`s where my family live and I can`t believe I`m finally going to step out on that pitch.
“I used to be a ball-boy for them so to get the chance to play against them and hopefully beat them is amazing really.
“I want to win every game, but particularly this one. There are a few coaches still there from my time, including the one who released me!
“It won`t be easy for us obviously. They are a great team, but we have good players just like them and we fancy our chances of getting three points
“We definitely have the forwards to cause them problems. For me, just to be playing alongside the likes of George Boyd is exciting and we have a decent understanding of each other.
“I`m sure we will create chances and score goals as usual. I can`t wait to get out there and play well.
“I`ve not been at my best lately. I hold my hands up to that, but I`ve never stopped trying and I never will.
“There were signs that it was coming back last weekend against Barnsley, even if I probably should have scored a couple of goals.”
Hopefully Tomlin can get back to the form Posh fans know he`s capable of and keep a cool head at the same time. An in-form Tomlin would no doubt boost Posh and cause Leicester major problems.
