Peterborough United made their third signing since the end of the season with the capture of their first of two new goalkeepers.

Posh have made their third signing with the capture of teenage goalkeeper Josh Tibbets.

Tibbets brought to an end an 11-year career at Championship side Birmingham City when leaving the club at the end of last season when his contract expired.

The 18-year-old made a good impression at Posh towards the end of last season when playing for the Posh reserves with Posh boss Grant McCann seeing enough in the former Blues player to offer him a two-year contract.

With current Posh teenage goalkeeper Dion-Curtis Henry expected to head out on loan to gain more first team experience, Tibbets is expected to push whoever comes in as the number one goalkeeper although he has also been described as being “one for the future”!

McCann was delighted to bring Tibbets in as he said to the club website: “I have been impressed with him. He came in to train with us and did well. He is one for the future and he is here to push the new number one who we are working on at the moment.”
