Who has won the August 2017 Posh Player of the Month poll?
Striker Jack Marriott may have picked up the EFL League One Player of the Month Award but he only managed to come third in this first player of the month poll for 2017/18!
Posh won all four League matches during August as they finished the month on top of League One while they won their opening Checkatrade Trophy match against a very youthful Southampton side. The only blot on the season so far was a below par performance in the Carabao Cup when they lost to League Two side Barnet.
Marriott`s six goals in those four League games stole the headlines but the unbeaten start to the League campaign has been a team effort and the results of this poll show that Posh have got a good spine to the team.
Only seven of the 19 players who have played for Posh so far this season picked up votes with three of them level in joint fifth place. Central defenders Jack Baldwin and Ryan Tafazolli were two of those players alongside Gwion Edwards.
In fourth place was Marcus Maddison while we`ve already mentioned Marriott who came third but who filled the top two places?
