Who has won the latest Posh Player of the Month poll for January?
Who has won the latest Posh Player of the Month poll for January?
Posh faced a hectic January with seven matches including two FA Cup ties but it sadly only produced two wins and one draw!
Two League defeats either side of a draw at non-League Kidderminster Harriers started the month off but things got worse when Posh put in a woeful performance to go out of the FA Cup losing 3-2 at London Road.
Fortunately, Posh faced Tranmere Rovers next for the third time this season as they added a 3-0 victory to the two 5-0 wins from earlier in the campaign.
Buoyed by finally winning their first match of the year, many expected Posh to kick on but after just seven minutes of their next match, against Notts County, they found themselves 2-0 down!! A sending off for the visitors Ronan Murray helped Posh enormously as they eventually struggled to a 4-3 win.
Two wins on the bounce and Posh were on a roll. They headed to Oldham for their last match of January and were winning with ease at half-time as they found the net on three occasions. However, no one could`ve anticipated what was to happen in the second half as Posh capitulated eventually losing 5-4!!
It was a mixed bag of performances but the top three players for January`s Vital Posh Player of the Month, as voted by you, were:
