Posh got back to winning ways when beating a stubborn Exeter City. Two second half goals from Britt Assombalonga and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing saw the London Road side through safely to round two of the FA Cup.

Yet again it wasn`t a very entertaining match but Posh did what they had to do and that was to get a winning result.
