Despite Posh suffering yet another defeat, there were plenty of signs that Posh are going back to their old ways of trying to score more goals than the opposition rather than trying to keep a clean sheet!

The match also saw last season`s Player of the Year, Gaby Zakuani, finally break back into the starting line-up. It also saw captain Tommy Rowe play in the unaccustomed central midfield role in place of former captain Grant McCann who dropped down to the bench.

The lackluster displays that Posh have shown recently went out the window and it was replaced by a more energetic display with players closing down the opposition and looking lively when in possession.

Fergie`s substitutions are still strange and it is surprising how Lee Tomlin stays on the pitch week after week. He often has a good first 45 minutes but his influence on the pitch in the second half of games has been minimal. With the two Danny`s sitting on the bench, either Swanson or Kearns could easily come on to replace Tomlin as they both have the energy and skill to make a difference in matches.

What happens this weekend against the 100% home form of Cardiff City is unknown as Posh fans have often seen a promising performance followed by a poor one. Could Posh do the unexpected and be the first team this season to come away with any points? You can cast your vote on the right hand-side of this page.

One person that could help Posh cause an upset is Dwight Gayle, the loanee striker from Dagenham and Redbridge, who scored a brace of goals against Middlesbrough.
