Rate the Peterborough United players in the Vital Posh Man of the Match Poll for the Sky Bet League One match at Oxford United which is now up and running.

There was controversy even before this match kicked off when the team selection was announced! Out went Chris Forrester and Danny Lloyd with Michael Doughty and Jermaine Anderson incoming!

Anderson has hardly had a look-in since returning from injury and when he has played, he has disappointed virtually every time. He did impress in his cameo in Steve Evans first match in charge with a delightful cross for Marriott to notch one of his two goals against Charlton Athletic.

Sadly, Anderson, along with both Doughty and Leo Da Silva Lopes were simply overrun in midfield and that was regardless of the formation they were meant to be using (and the formation changed numerous times during the match!).

With little protection in front of them, the defence struggled with a rampant Oxford side and if you add in a goalkeeper having a massive off-day, then it added up to a very disappointing and thoroughly deserved defeat.

Steve Evans made a massive mistake in this match with his team selection and his formation and he paid the ultimate price in losing the match. With the away fixtures remaining for Posh, this was arguably the easiest on paper for picking up all three points.

The defeat saw Posh drop straight out of the play-offs to seventh and now rely on other teams above them to drop points. The three points picked up by the Yellows (and six altogether against Posh this season!) could go a massive way to help them avoid relegation. They have moved up to 15th place, six points away from the relegation places.

What did you think to the performances of the Posh players and Steve Evans?
