Posh started off 2012 with another battling display and were unfortunate not to come away with a win after conceding a 94th minute penalty!

Posh had started like a house on fire and took the lead inside the first minute when Joe Newell, making his first start for Posh, played a delightful through ball to Emile Sinclair who looked offside! The assistant referee didn`t raise his flag though and after getting the ball from under his feet, Sinclair placed the ball firmly past Myhill in goal and into the corner of the net.

The Blues had plenty of shots and the ones which were on target were well dealt with by keeper Lewis. Posh had more possession though but couldn`t find that crucial second goal to kill off Birmingham.
