It was just the second defeat in thirteen matches for Posh but it was the most important match which Posh needed to avoid defeat and it took a 90th minute winner to send Posh back to League One!

Gutted Posh players after the match which relegated them to League One

To say everyone connected with the club and all its fans are gutted is an understatement but Posh must now face facts and plan for a promotion challenging season in League One next season.

Despite twice going ahead, Posh couldn`t hold on to the lead and instead of playing out the draw which would`ve been good enough for both teams, just as Barnsley and Huddersfield did on hearing Posh had fallen behind, both teams kept on playing for the win which ultimately cost £5 million as Posh are now set to play in League One next season!

Posh were backed back a vociferous following of over 2,600 fans but the boys in blue couldn`t deliver the final result for them.
