The loan of Chris Westwood to Cheltenham could be seen by many as being the start of the end of his Posh career.

If so that would be very sad. Westwood was a pivotal figure in our promotion campaign last season and many pundits believe his experience could still stand us in good stead.

It appears to be a view shared by Darren Ferguson who when speaking about the loan move to Radio Cambridgeshire, had this to say on the subject,

“It`s an initial month and at the moment we aren`t looking to do any further than that.”

“Given his age and experience I think it`s best for him that he gets out and plays some games.”

“It`s good for him to have a month at Cheltenham, they`ve got a lot of games and it can only help him.”

Let`s hope it goes well for Chris.
