Posh moved up to fifth in League One with their second narrow 1-0 victory in successive away games.

If rumours persisted beforehand that whilst we`re capable of scoring a few goals we`re also capable of letting a few in then two clean sheets have provided the perfect response.

However, it took a lucky(ish) goal from Aaron McLean to settle this often dour encounter. With thirty six minutes gone, a Yeovil clearance hit our top scorer, Craig Mackail-Smith, flush in the face and McLean latched on to the rebound to drive it home, not that we`re complaining as the record books never describe how good, how bad or how freaky goals are.

But, it would be churlish to suggest that Posh were not in control for most of the game, Yeovil were often pushed back without Posh getting the reward their passing game deserved. Indeed, George Boyd hit the post from twenty-five yards out early on and before he`d scored McLean had also rattled a post.

The home side, struggling in the lower regions of League One, had probably their best chance in the first quarter of an hour but Joe Lewis, as we`ve come to expect these day, pulled off a great save to deny Danny Schofield after he`d superbly met a cross from the lively Paul Warne.

After the break the home side went in search of an equaliser and the Posh defence held firm, however it was heart-in-mouth time when Craig Morgan was forced to clear an effort of the line from Terry Skiverton.

Nevertheless, Posh survived the relatively minor onslaught and extended their unbeaten run. Onwards and upwards!
