Peterborough United defender Gaby Zakuani helped his DR Congo team to a second consecutive goalless draw in a World Cup match against Cameroon.

DR Congo

Playing his second World Cup match inside a week, Posh defender Gaby Zakuani helped his DR Congo teammates to a goalless draw against the pre-match leaders of the African World Cup Group I table.

With just one point separating the top three sides in the group, this draw benefitted Libya the most as they defeated bottom side Togo 2-0.

Libya now top the group with nine points followed by Cameroon on seven and DR Congo on six points.

There is just one match remaining for each country with just the winners of the group progressing to the ten-team final stages of the African qualification. The top two sides, Libya and Cameroon, face each other in the final group match while DR Congo travel to Togo. It does mean though that Zakuani and the Democratic Republic of Congo can no longer qualify for the final stages.
