Who has won Vital Posh Man of the Match for the FA Cup Second Round match against Tranmere Rovers? Find out the results
Posh continued their good run in all cup competitions this season by demolishing Tranmere Rovers for the second time this season.
Rovers turned up at London Road having only been beaten once in their last eight matches but they also knew they suffered an embarrassing 5-0 defeat at home by Posh in the League earlier in the season.
After a fairly drab start to the match, Posh finally got hold of the match and after scoring the first goal there was no looking back.
Rovers were possibly the worst side seen at London Road this season and the scoreline reflected that fact. For the second time this season, Posh put five goals past Rovers while keeping a clean sheet.
Top scorer Britt Assombalonga scored his first ever senior hat-trick while young Shaun Jeffers notched his first goals in Posh colours.
