POSH put aside their latest off field drama to give themselves a fighting chance of getting back in the playoffs with a battling 3-2 win over Macclesfield at London Road.

As reported elsewhere on this site, Caretaker Manager quit the club an hour or so before kick off which left Barry Fry to step in and take charge of team affairs…so much for retirement eh?!

POSH had most of the possesion in the first half but couldn’t convert it into clear cut chances and more importantly goals.

It was no surprise that Macc took the lead in the second half. That’s just the way it’s been going for ‘boro recently.

But Danny Crow’s equaliser triggered an incredible end to this game.

David Farrell looked to have won it with 6 minutes to go with a header, before John Miles levelled it in the last minute with his second of the match.

The 3002 fans in who had turned up collectively groaned (apart fromt the 100 or so who had travelled!), but somehow POSH raised themselves again.

With four minutes of added time played, Crow struck his second and the playoff dream was alive again!
