What did you think to referee Michael Salisbury`s performance in the Sky Bet League One match between Peterborough United and Northampton Town?
Referee Michael Salisbury had a decent match although there were things he could improve upon.
Seven yellow cards were dished out during the match with six of them going to the visitors while Cobblers central defender Ash Taylor was shown a straight red for “denying a goal scoring opportunity”. We believe the red was very harsh as there were defenders either side of striker Jack Marriott who had his heels clipped.
Cobblers were also very lucky not to see another of their players sent off after a scuffle between Chris Forrester, who had to be held back, clashed with Sam Hoskins. The referee didn`t see the incident but one of his assistants did but instead of dishing out a second yellow for the Cobblers midfielder, Salisbury decided to have a chat with both players!
