Honours even at County

POSH maintained their unbeaten start to this league two season with a hard earned goal-less draw at Meadow Lane.

Both sides have a reputation for ‘direct’ football, a tag which ‘boro have been working hard to shed over recent weeks. But it was a close, tense midfield battle with County having the lions share of the few chances their were.

Jason Lee and Guy Branston were the main protagonists on each side. Both were strong and physical although Keith Alexander felt that Lee was operating on the wrong side of the games laws more often than not.

All in all it was a great point for POSH and with the Carling Cup draw taking the fans further into dreamland you have to say it is great to be reporting on this football club at the moment!
Bury next for ‘boro
POSH face Bury at home in their next match. Due to the England match being played on Saturday, this match is a 3pm kick off on Sunday.
