‘Must win match’ and ’66 pointer’ are phrases we have heard many times from POSH owner Barry Fry over the seasons.

It’s never been more apt than for this weekends match with the Macc. POSH have won one of their last five matches and despite hanging on in the play off places until Easter Monday, now find themselves down in 8th place.

Vital Quotes:

POSH have this match as a last chance to turn round their slump and still make the playoffs.

Peterborough United Team News:

The main issue for POSH is the possible return of Northern Ireland international front man James Quinn.

Quinn has been missing for all of the recent defeats and whilst he is not the prolific front man we all hoped he would be when he joined, he brings other players into the game so well.

Dean Holden definitely misses out for POSH whilst there are doubts over David Farrell (who limped off at Rochdale), Jamie Day and Ryan Semple.

Player to watch: James Quinn

If he is fit to play, it will be interesting to see how sharp Quinn is.

It may be pure coincidence that the team has struggled in his absence, but I think his experience and influence have been sorely missed.

Macclesfield Town Team News:

Mark Bailey wont be making an appearance for the Macc this weekend as they have released him!

Player to watch: Martin Bullock

Experienced and dangerous.

Match Facts & Stats

POSH won the reverse fixture 4-0 at Moss Rose earlier in the season.

Next Fixtures:

POSH follow this match up with a tricky away trip to Leyton Orient on 29th April.
