Peterborough United put their pre-season woes behind them despatching Bristol Rovers on the opening day at London Road.
Peterborough was a sweltering hot place to be at the weekend (no, seriously!) and POSH raised the heat even further as Jamie Day smashed in an early goal.
A further two goals followed in close succession (Butcher 32, Yeo 35) before Rovers pulled on back after the break through Sammy Igoe.
Lloyd Opara put the result beyond doubt with a fourth on 77 minutes and POSH were home and dry.
It only remained for manager Keith Alexander to try and keep everyones feet on the ground in his post-match interview before the bandwagon rolls on to Boston on Wednesday.
