A blog? about POSH?

The opening…

So what’s the idea of POSH blog then?

Well, in theory it is an opportunity to round up some of the articles that make this site and to cover off some of those that dont.

Taking on this whole site with a ‘positive+ about POSH’ motto has proved to be exactly the challenge that I expected but I am not being put off and hope that the blend of humour and honest, impartial writing about the club will win over the scpetics on both the pro (.com forum!!) and anti (.net forum!!) Fry camps.

I have been shouted down by a number of people for saying it but the regime who run the club are staying and both parties need to make the best of it, regardless of who has said what to whom in the past.

A busy week…

It has been a busy time for POSH fans with the non-arrival of early favourite for the post Mark Stimson leading up to the arrival of Keith Alexander.

Add into this the news that Barry Fry has quit are Director of Football and there may be a new striker on the way and even by Peterborough Uniteds standards this has been a busy one. Dealing with them in order…

Stimmo chooses a different ‘Boro

Mark Stimson always looked the man most likely to succeed Steve Bleasdale as POSH supremo from the moment he quit Grays Athletic.

He had taken the millionaire bankrolled club through the Congference South and to the brink of the football league. He trotted out the ‘taken the club as far as it can go’ line before departing and the scene looked set for him to pitch up at POSH.

It was a surprise to see that over the weekend he was alleged to have agreed a deal with Stevenage Borough, a side who seem to have found the knack of not getting promoted into the football league. He will have a tough job there.

Big Keith is in

We have covered his appointment at length suffice to say that as ‘Positive about Posh’ we would like to reinforce our message of support and good luck to Keith and hope he brings long overdue succes to the club.

Fry’s out

So Barry Fry is now just the Chairman/Owner of Peterborough United eh?

He is getting nearer the exit door and those who have felt that he has been all powerful for too long will be looking at a glimmer of light on the horizon.

Keith Alexander has said in numerous radio and press interviews that he is his own man and does not want interference on the playing side.

It will be a big test for Fry.

Richards

I don’t know too much about the lad (despite trying to promote myself as the fountain of footballing knowledge), but Woking fans seem to be gutted at his imminent departure… who said Wayne Purser??!!!
