The man in charge of the Sky Bet League One match between Peterborough United and Rochdale at the ABAX Stadium is ANTONY COGGINS.

After having had a rookie referee last week who crumbled under the scrutiny of a very vociferous home crowd which affected the result after sending two Posh players off, we have the pleasure of another referee who is in his first season as a Football League referee!

For Rochdale, it will be the first time Coggins has officiated them but Posh have had the pleasure of Coggins twice this season already! Both matches came in Cup matches with the first one coming in an FA Cup second round replay against Woking with the second coming in the Checkatrade Trophy third round at Luton Town.

Posh won both matches after a 5-2 victory in the FA Cup and a penalty shoot-out victory against the Hatters after the match finished goalless. Posh shared the two yellows cards in the FA Cup while the Hatters picked up the only yellow card in the Trophy match.

So far this season, Coggins has officiated 30 matches issuing just 70 yellow cards and four red cards. Just six of those matches have been in League One!

His highest card count for a match this season is 8 cards in a match which came in his last but one match when Forest Green Rovers beat Mansfield Town two-nil. Stags defender Krystian Pearce received his marching orders with six minutes remaining but they`d already conceded both goals by then.

The last match Coggins officiated was on Easter Monday in the League Two match between Stevenage and Barnet. Stevenage won four-one with the Bees consolation goal coming from former Posh striker Shaq Coulthirst. No cards were shown in the match.

The last League One match refereed by Coggins came at the start of March when Bristol Rovers visited MK Dons. The Dons picked up three of the four yellow cards shown in the match but the Rovers scored the only goal of the game after 50 minutes.

The assistant referees for this match will be Carl Fitch-Jackson and Sam Lewis. The fourth official is John Farries.
