Millwall came into this game on the back of a good win over Nottingham Forest and were looking to keep their unbeaten League start to the season going.
Peterborough on the other hand had had a good opening day win followed by a disappointing defeat away at Blackpool, despite having many one on one chances to easily win the game.
After a fairly even start, it was Posh who created the first real chance of the game with George Boyd firing against the woodwork following a cross from Grant McCann.
However, it was Millwall who took a grip of the game and started to apply a lot of pressure on the Posh goal and it was only the heroics of goalkeeper Paul Jones and some vital blocks that kept Millwall at bay.
Jones could do nothing to prevent the opening goal though Henderson took a couple of touches inside the area before squaring for Trotter to sidefoot home from 10 yards.
Millwall nearly dounbled their lead just before the interval but they only had to wait until 10 minutes into the second half to extend their lead when Bouazza had time to make a cup of tea, such was the non-existing marking, before slotting the ball past Jones.
Things didn’t look good for Posh at this point as chances were few and far between despite playing their intricate go-nowhere football!
Darren Ferguson, often criticised for not having a Plan B, is determined not to make the same mistakes that has plagued his previous 2 disastrous seasons in the Championship. Was this game the first sign that he does now have a Plan B?
Rookies Tunnicliffe and 23-year-old striker Taylor were brought on and immediately made an impact.
Taylor, who was making only his fourth appearance since joining from Anderlecht last season, set up Lee Frecklington to drill his shot home from the edge of the box.
Trotter then cracked a shot against the post as Millwall looked regain their two goal lead but Taylor stole possession, powered forward and smacked a low shot from 25-yards past Forde for the equaliser.
With 2 goals in the space of 4 second half minutes, could Posh go on to win the game?
There was still time for either side to grab a winner and Posh seemed to be happy to hang on to what they’d got as they brought on defender Basey for midfielder Frecklington.
Five minutes of added time came and went. A few chances fell the way for Millwall without breaking the stalemate. Posh on the otherhand tried to keep possession, not very well at times, rather than risking losing what could be a very important point.

Made many vital saves during the game including tipping a shot on to the post before Posh raced away to score the equaliser.
Mark Little 6
He’s been a bit hit and miss so far this season. This game was more a ‘miss’ as he was very lethargic. He can be very impressive marauding up the pitch, but often thinks he has all the time in the world to get back which leaves massive gaps in the defence.
Ryan Bennett 7
Mr Consistent. Seems very calm despite his young age.
Scott Wootton 7
The young Manchester United loanee is settling in to his role and shows a lot of potential.
Craig Alcock 7
Making only his first start since signing in the summer from Yeovil, had a steady game even though he was playing out of position.
Grant McCann 5
Captain McCann for the second game in a row had a disappointing game. Improved when Tunnicliffe came on.
Tommy Rowe 5
Seemed to be off the pace a bit. He does a lot of runnning during games that it may be catching him up. Could do with a rest to recharge his energes.
Frecklington 6
Frecklington is like having signed a new player, such was the amount of time he’s spent out injured. If he can stay fit, he will be a vital player for Posh in midfield especially when chipping in with a few goals along the way.
George Boyd 7
The ‘White Pele’ worked hard both defensively and in attack. Another vital cog at Posh and someone who, if Posh are to retain their Championship status, needs to remain at London Road.
Lee Tomlin 5
An off-night not helped by his temperment which, not for the first time, got him into trouble with the referee.
David Ball 5
Very quiet night. Little service. Withdrawn early in the second half.
Ryan Tunnicliffe 7
Very impressive in his 30 minute apeparance. If his progress continues the way it has in the few games he’s played for Posh, he should have a great future in the game.
Paul Taylor 7
Along with Tunnicliffe, completely changed the game. Set up one goal and scored a spectacular long range effort.
Not enough time on the pitch to make an impact. Came on to shore things up to ensure Posh came away with a vital point.

Changed things round when things were going against his team. Getting his team to play a lot of passing football but still lacks the killer instinct.
