Bradford City are favourites to win the Sky Bet League One Cup match with Posh and at the same time maintaining their unbeaten start to the season.

Bradford Away

Bradford City -Vs- Peterborough United
Venue: Coral Windows Stadium (aka Valley Parade)
Date: Saturday, 23rd August, 2014
Kick-off: 15:00pm

The Bantams have had an excellent start to the season winning three of their four competitive matches and drawing the other one. It has seen them move in to round two of the Capital One Cup and to second place in League One behind surprise leaders Fleetwood Town.

Posh have won two and lost two of their competitive matches this season but if the pattern of “win one, lose one” continues then Posh are due for a win! Despite playing well in midweek against pre-season title favourites Sheffield United, Posh went down to a disappointing 2-1 defeat. Some poor defending and a lack of a killer touch at the other end proved costly as Posh slipped to their first League defeat of the season.

However, it is the unbeaten start for the Bantams which give them the edge with the bookies. Sky Bet have them priced at 13/10 to beat Posh with Posh 2/1 for the win. The draw is priced at 12/5.

Yet again, Sky Bet has a 1-1 draw with the lowest odds and this is priced at 5/1 but the lowest odds for a Bantams win is 7/1 for a 1-0 victory while Posh are 17/2, also for a 1-0 win.

Both teams have a forward on three goals for the season but it is the Bantams James Hanson who is favourite to score the first goal of the game at 5/1. He also has odds of 11/8 to score at any time in the match. Former Posh forward Aaron McLean is priced at 6/1 for the first goal of the game and 7/4 to score during the 90 minutes.

Kyle Vassell is the third favourite Posh player to score the first goal of the game despite having notched three goals this term. He is priced at 7/1 for the first goal of the game and 12/5 to score anytime in the match. The two players ahead of him in the stakes are Conor Washington and Tyrone Barnett even though neither of them have scored this season! They are priced at 6/1 and 13/2 respectively for the first goal of the game and 7/4 and 2/1 to score at any time in the match.

Nine different predictions have voted for in the poll being run by Vital Posh to PREDICT THE SCORE.

The front runners in the poll are all wins for Bradford. 2-1 is the current favourite followed by 2-0 and 3-1. There has only been one prediction voted for for a Posh win and that is 2-1.

You can get the following odds for the above predictions:

Bradford 2-1 Posh – 8/1
Bradford 2-0 Posh – 10/1
Bradford 3-1 Posh – 16/1
Bradford 1-2 Posh – 9/1
