Peterborough United have had an undisclosed bid for Crawley Town striker Tyrone Barnett turned down.

Barnett (26) joined Crawley from Macclesfield last summer for £150,000 and has scored 13 goals so far this season.

Prior to joining Crawley, Barnett played just one season at Macclesfield scoring 13 goals in 45 games. The Silkmen had snapped him up from Hednesford Town where he had scored 40 goals in just 81 outings.

Crawley did recently accept a £900,000 bid for the striker from fellow Championship rivals Blackpool, but Barnett couldn’t agree personal terms with The Tangerines.
