Vital Posh looks at the form of both Burnley and Peterborough United ahead of the npower Championship clash.

Burnley left London Road earlier in the season following a 2-1 defeat but are on a excellent run of form which has seen them win eight out of the last eleven games!

Posh are on a run of four defeats in all competitions and would love to see the same result as earlier in the season when Emile Sinclair scored two goals on his home debut for Posh!

Burnley

Burnley started the season off slowly, but in recent weeks, boss Eddie Howe has got them playing some outstanding football and are in a very good vein of form.

Eight wins in eleven games including a 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest in their last outing says it all. That run of games has seen some impressive results with away wins against Middlesbrough, Brighton and West Ham United!

So far this season at home, Burnley have won five, drawn four and lost five.

They`ve scored 22 goals at home this season, conceding 15 on the way.

Top League scorer for Burnley is Jay Rodriguez with 10 goals so far this season.

Lying in 9th place with 48 points from 28 games, they are just three points from the play-off places.

Peterborough United

Posh slipped to their worst defeat of the season last weekend when being trounced 3-0 by Portsmouth at London Road. That defeat was their fourth on the bounce in all competitions which has seen them concede eight goals while scoring just once! Posh last saw victory on Boxing Day when winning 1-0 at Nottingham Forest.

So far this season away from home, Posh have won three, drawn four and lost seven.

Posh have netted 17 times on their travels this season, conceding 22 goals on the way.

Top scorer is skipper Grant McCann who has scored 8 goals this season. He has been out of action since early December though when he picked up a knee ligament injury against Leicester City but has played the last game and a half.

Posh are currently in 17th place with 33 points from 28 games. Thirteen points off the play-offs and nine points from relegation.

Posh have gone an amazing 103 League games since they last played in a goalless draw!!
