A bit slow on the uptake here!

I`ve been away for a couple of days resting my tired fingers after pounding a keyboard relentlessly, nevertheless, its catch up time!

Whilst I was away the draw for the 3rd round of the Carling Cup took place.

After despatching Ipswich Town in round two we were in the draw with the big-boys currently playing (or preparing to) European football.

Deep down I was hoping we`d draw out Chelsea, Arsenal or someone similar at London Road.

If not any Premier League club would have done. However, drawing out Newcastle is, probably, the next best thing.

It`s a big name that has a big support and London Road should be an atmospheric place to be come the week commencing 21st September.

More importantly, I believe the tie gives us a good chance of progressing and who knows, if we do, who we`ll get in round four!
