Due to a lack of available players, Peterborough United have had to pull out of the fund raising event at Kettering. Coventry City have taken their place.

Peterborough United were due to play in a friendly against Kettering Town on Wednesday [15th February] to raise funds for the financially stricken club, subject to final confirmation.

With Posh having a first team game on Tuesday [14th February] and with them down to the bare bones combined with the recent release of half the youth team, Peterborough are unable to field a team.

Coventry City have kindly agreed to fill the void after their reserve team game with Spurs was postponed.

The fund raising friendly will still take part at Nene Park in Irthlingborough this Wednesday with a 7:45pm kick-off.

The match is being organised by the Kettering Town (Poppies) Supporters Trust and entrance will be by donation to the Trust collected prior to entry to the stadium.

All donations are voluntary.

The ‘normal’ price for a game such as this would have been £7 for all classes except under 16’s at £3.

Car parking would have been £3 for everyone and we hope on this night supporters will all use the car park.

It is likely that only the terrace and South stand only will be open as will Strikers Bar before the game at half time and afterwards.
