Peterborough United have confirmed their first pre-season game of 2012/13.

This will be against newly promoted League One outfit Crawley Town on Saturday 21st July at Crawleys Broadfield Stadium.

The match will be of significant interest following Tyrone Barnetts move from the Reds to Posh while goalkeeper Paul Jones has made the reverse move.

Posh played Crawley in an entertaining friendly last pre-season when Posh ran out 4-2 winners after being 2-0 down at half-time!

Tyrone Barnett opened the scoring for the hosts before Dean Howell made it two from a powerful strike.

Posh showed their greater squad strength after a number of substitutions for both sides ended with Posh finding the back of the net four times through strikes from Tommy Rowe, Nicky Ajose, David Ball and the impressive Paul Taylor.

Ticket prices for this fixture have yet to be announced.

It is believed Posh will also send a team to local side St Neots on 28th July while negotiations are on-going surrounding a home friendly against Premiership side Norwich City who will have former Posh defender Ryan Bennett in their squad. These two fixtures have yet to be confirmed by Posh though.
