Peterborough United have announced the first three pre-season matches that have been arranged.
Posh kick-off their pre-season on Saturday 12th July when they face a trip to Barry Fry`s former team Barnet. They currently play their football in the Skrill Premier League and finished in eighth place last season, seven points from the play-offs.
Posh then travel to face Kyle Vassell`s former team Bishop Stortford the following Saturday [19th July]. Bishop Stortford ply their trade in the sixth tier of English football, the Confrerence South, where they finished the season in 15th place out of 22. Vassell contributed to their season by scoring six League goals and 10 Cup goals.
The third match that has been confirmed is another trip to a non-league side. This time it`s Daventry on Tuesday 29th July when the two sides will battle it out for the Maunsell Cup. Daventry finished eighth last season in the Evo-Stick League Southern Division One Central winning 12 of their 21 home League matches.
The complete list of pre-season fixtures should be finalised over the next week.
