George Boyd – Scotland

George Boyd has only represented Scotland at “B” level but has got his chance with the senior squad following a change in management and also with some excellent displays this year with both Peterborough United and more recently, Hull City who he is currently on loan at.

Scotland come up against Wales at Hampden Park on Friday evening before travelling to Serbia on Tuesday.

Scotland are currently bottom of their group of six teams having drawn two of their four matches played so far while losing the other two matches. Wales are currently second from bottom with three points from their four games while Serbia are third with four points from four matches.

Wales beat Scotland previously in the campaign thanks to two late Gareth Bale goals coming in the 81st minute from the penalty spot and then with just a minute from time, he scored the winner. Scotland did pick up a point against Serbia in the very first match of the World Cup Qualifiers when they fought out a goalless draw.

Belgium and Croatia are the runaway countries with both having 10 points from four matches.

Grant McCann – Northern Ireland

Their only defeat came at the hands of Russia when they lost 2-0 in their first matches of the campaign.
