but only for a friendly with his Brighton and Hove Albion team!

Craig Mackail-Smith

The match with Brighton will be Posh`s second home pre-season match and will be played on Saturday, 26th July. Kick-off will be at the usual time of 3pm.

It will also be just the second time Mackail-Smith has faced his former employers at London Road since his move to the south coast three years ago. He scored 99 goals for Posh during his four years at the London Road club with the last being in the League One Play-Off Final win over Huddersfield Town in 2011. He was also named League One Player of the Year in his final season at Posh.

CMS was absent for the most part of the last campaign with a serious Achilles problem but he did make a comeback towards the end of the season and came on as a substitute in the win over Nottingham Forest on the final day of the term. He provided the pin-point cross for Leonardo Ulloa to net an injury-time winner to claim sixth spot.

Posh host Championship newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers on the Tuesday prior to the Albion game. Kick-off for the Wolves match is 7:45pm on Tuesday, 22nd July.

Ticket news for both matches will be announced in due course.
