Posh Chairman, Darragh MacAnthony, last night caused a whirlwind of rumours and speculation after a tweet declaring ‘Posh won’t sign anyone on deadline day’. Now, this could mean one of two things: ether we won’t have any new players at the club, or a deal for a player was done last night, and MacAnthony is winding Posh fans up as the deal is already done and just needs to be announced.

Darren Ferguson said in an interview that Luke James was Posh’s only target, but also said that they wouldn’t be upping their offer.
