Peterborough United will officially launch their new home kit next month at a special event.
Posh are finally to reveal their new home kit at a special event to be held at Serpentine Green.
The two-hour event will start at 11am on Sunday, 5th July outside Boots in Serpentine Green. The event will be attended by Mr Posh, Peter Burrow, Mick the Skip, the Posh management team and representatives from the playing squad who will be modelling the new kit alongside a player from the under 9`s, 12`s and 15`s Academy sides.
The Mick George cheerleaders will kick-off proceedings and there will be a question and answer session with first team manager Dave Robertson and assistant Grant McCann.
There will be a variety of events for all the family which includes a FIFA competition run by the staff from GAME and a speed kick cage. Young fans will also get the chance to win the new home strip in the Mick George ‘skip challenge`. Representatives from sponsors Princebuild and Vend Snax will also be present.
Alex Harris, Posh commercial manager, said: “We are looking forward to revealing our new kit to our supporters and are pleased that we are able to put on this event in partnership with our shirt sponsors Mick George. We believe this will be a nice curtain-raiser to the pre-season programme and hope to see many fans, young and old, at the launch.”
Finance Director at Mick George, Jon Stump, said: “We`re really excited about the launch of the new Peterborough United home kit at Serpentine Green and we`ve got lots of things planned for fans during the day. Mick the Skip will be making a special appearance, the Mick George cheerleaders will be performing throughout the day and young fans will have the chance to win prizes on our mini sized ‘skip challenge.`
“Our involvement at the club has extended this season as we are now the official sponsors of the Peterborough United FC training ground. To celebrate the launch of the Mick George Training Academy we are giving four lucky fans the chance to go behind the scenes and have a tour of the facilities as well as watch the first team train.
“All you have to do to enter this competition is bring a bag of unwanted clothes to the Sue Ryder Donation Station, located in front of boots on Sunday 5th July. The staff and volunteers at Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall provide incredible care to people during the most difficult times and one bag of clothes can make a big difference.”
