Posh manager Grant McCann has confirmed that 21 year old Jamaican forward, Junior Morias, is training with the club. The St Albans forward is expected to sign on the dotted line on the first on January, to provide competition for Tom Nichols, Shaq Coulthirst, Lee Angol and Paul Taylor.

Morias spent his youth career at Fulham, before moving to League Two side Wycombe Wanderers in 2012. He played 27 games for Wycombe, and also spent time on loan at Hendon and Boreham Wood, whilst he was there.

In 2014 he moved to Boreham Wood on a permanent deal, where he netted 13 goals in 61 appearances. He also scored an extra time goal against Whitehawk to win Boreham Wood promotion to the National League for the first time.

He joined Whitehawk on loan in January 2016, and rejected new terms at Boreham Wood at the end of last season.

St Albans was his latest move, where he got off to a flyer, scoring 3 goals in 7 games, including a superb strike against League Two side Carlisle in the FA Cup. He picked up a brace in the game, but his side lost 5-3.

After that match, Darragh MacAnthony made a cryptic tweet, hinting a new Posh signing had scored a good goal at the weekend, fuelling speculation of the Jamaican’s move to the ABAX. He played for the Posh Under 23’s against Cheltenham in midweek – a game which ended in a 1-1 draw. Forgotten man Adil Nabi scored the Posh goal.

Will Morias be a success at The Posh? Only time will tell.
