A request for a pay rise as part of any new deal for goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik put the block on any new contract being offered!
Many Posh fans assumed it would just be a matter of time before a deal was agreed between Posh and regular goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik as he enters the final year of his contract but a request from Olejnik`s agent for a pay rise stopped Posh in their tracks!
This coming season, Posh have to abide by the 60% rule which means belts need to be tightened to meet that target and as such no pay rises can be offered.
When Bobby Olejniks agent asked for that rise, it immediately meant he was to be placed on the transfer list as Posh can`t offer him a rise and with him starting the final year of his contract he was placed on the transfer list as per club policy.
Whether things change any time soon will be solely down to Bobby Olejnik and his agent but for now, he is available for transfer although no one has yet to show any interest in the former Torquay United shot-stopper.
