The surprise signing of Macclesfield Town striker Emile Sinclair could, according to Posh manager Darren Ferguson, be the missing link he’s been looking for.

Although Posh scored 7 goals against Ipswich in a recent Championship game, they have remained goalless in the two subsequent games and it was no surprise that Fergie Jnr was looking for an alternative option to his skillful, yet small attacking strikeforce.

Sinclair brings a different dimension to the attacking options now available at Posh as he is quick, but also strong and could assist Posh penetrate the opposition.

Speaking to the Peterborough Evening Telegraph, Ferguson said: “Emile is very quick and someone who can penetrate the opposition defence and in the last couple of matches we have missed someone with that style of play.”

“We have known about him for a while and we are sure he is a talented lad.”

“He can play out wide and has actually played most of his career as a winger, but he has also played down the middle and that`s where we will look to play him.”.
