Posh v QPR

QPR, who like Posh suffered the heartbreak of relegation last season, travel to London Road looking to get more playing minutes into their squad.

It will be the third pre-season game for Posh after having drawn both games on their Republic of Ireland tour while it is QPR`s second pre-season match after their goalless draw with Exeter at the end of their training camp in Devon.

Posh have a full squad to choose from after midfielder Nathaniel Mendez-Laing recovered from the injury which saw him miss the previous two pre-season matches.

Darren Ferguson will again mix up his squad as he looks to get more match minutes into his players. Posh have so far only brought in one new player since the end of last season but he is a familiar face in the form of Jack Payne who was on loan at London Road last season.

However, Posh fans will see a new face play some part of the match as they have a French trialist on loan. Yohann Lasimant [pictured below] arrived at London Road this week after a trial at fellow League One outfit Leyton Orient. The 23-year-old has played most of his career in midfield and on the wing but Posh are looking at him to play up front! He scored two excellent goals in his recent trial at the O`s against Chelmsford City.

Promising youngsters, including the likes of Shaq MacDonald and Jermaine Anderson, are expected to get another run out alongside the more senior Posh players.

Queens Park Rangers

Manager Harry Redknapp brings his squad to London Road looking to boost his players fitness but also hoping to come away with a better result than the last QPR side that played at London Road. On that occasion, in February 2010, a single Aaron McLean goal sent QPR to the Championship defeat.

Redknapp will experiment with his side and is expected to name two different sides for each half. He is expected to give Belgian trialist Ryan Sanusi another run out alongside former England veterans Andy Johnson [pictured below] and Bobby Zamora.

Danny Simpson will make his second appearance in an R`s shirt following his summer signing from Newcastle United.

One player that definitely won`t be playing today is Joey Barton. The midfielder spent last season on loan at French club Marseille and is now hoping to tie up a permanent deal.
