Posh 1 Forest 2

Posh are firmly entrenched in the Championship relegation places after losing at home to Nottingham Forest.

By some strange quirk of fate, and for the third time in recent weeks, it was two goals in a relatively short space of time that undone our hopes.

After shuffling his pack in the midweek defeat by Plymouth Argyle, Darren Ferguson chose to do so again.

This time in came Williams, Zakuani, Coutts and Whelpdale. For some strange reason, our recent loan signing, Danny Rose; was left on the bench despite impressing on Tuesday night.

The first half was pretty drab to say the least and Ferguson wouldn`t have been happy to lose two players in the first thirty minutes with Lewis being replaced by McKeown and Coutts being replaced by Frecklington.

Any misgivings about a poor first half were soon blown away though in a hectic start to the second half.

Posh opened the scoring with Aaron Mclean notching his fifth goal of the season with a header.

Unfortunately, the lead was not to last long with Forest hitting back inside a minute when Majewski scored. With Posh trying to consolidate Forest went for the jugular and five minutes after equalising went ahead when Blackstock provided a tap in for Anderson to net his first of the season.

Spirits are low at the moment and it`s hard to see where our next win is coming from, perhaps the international break will give us time to analyse a few things and when we return, with a fixture at Ashton Gate, perhaps we can start climbing the table.
