Our quest to gain that elusive first win in the Championship continues.

In front of almost 10,750 supporters Posh had the better of the action but could still only force a draw with our visitors from Yorkshire.

After losing so late on at Derby last week perhaps we should be thankful something similar didn`t happen this time around.

Nevertheless, Darren Ferguson will be acutely aware that he`ll need to get a result, midweek, against West Bromwich Albion, otherwise we`ll be left with a return of one point from nine, not the sort of start we`d all anticipated.

For the game Darren restored Morgan to the heart of the defence after the Welshman missed the Carling Cup win at Wycombe due to international obligations.

In midfield, Rowe and Diagouraga were both given a start with Coutts and Boyd making u the midfield four.

Despite early Posh pressure it was the visitors that were to go into the half time break ahead.

With twenty-one minutes played a Tudgay cross saw O`Conner head home, Lewis had no chance of stopping the well crafted opportunity.

Posh tried to get back into the game but they had to wait until the sixty-first minute before doing so.

The equaliser came from Mackail-Smith who notched up his first goal of the season as he tries to match the twenty-six he got last season, the goal coming from a header at the far post.

Posh tried to press for a winner but it wasn`t to be, instead they`re left to rue those missed chances when they were on top of a gallant Sheffield Wednesday side.

Are we seeing the main difference between League One and The Championship, namely that you can`t afford to not take your chances?
