London Road witnessed a remarkable ending to a match that at first struggled to get going.

In fact with 83 minutes gone it looked as if the goal scored by Chris Whelpdale would be enough to give Mark Cooper his first win since taking over from Darren Ferguson.

The first half wasn`t much to write home about with neither side really creating a clear cut chance but all that changed in the 56th minute when Exodus launched a long throw into the Swansea penalty area. The visitors struggled to deal with it and Whelpdale was on hand to thunder a volley home.

Dreams of three points were very much alive until the Swansea manager, Paulo Sousa, introduced the veteran striker, Lee Trundle.

With eighty-four minutes played a deft bit of skill saw the striker slip one past Joe Lewis and the game was all square. It looked as if the points were to be shared, and then, apparent disaster.

With the game heading into stoppage time Trundle got his second goal of the game with a stunning strike. All looked lost and an air of depression descended upon London Road.

But, deep, deep, deep into stoppage time George Boyd delivered a ball for Aaron McLean to score from close range. Those left inside London Road erupted; it almost felt like we`d won, perhaps that`ll come next week though!
