Despite several leading pundits, step forward Richard Gough, implying that George Boyd playing for a Scottish international side is blatantly wrong, the boy done remarkably good on his debut for the Scotland B team last night.

Despite admitting he`d never even set foot inside Scotland before his call-up, George did his future international prospects no harm scoring a goal, on his debut, in the 3-0 win over the Republic of Ireland B team.

A goal that led George to cheekily comment, when asked about playing for Scotland,

“Any international recognition is great. Playing for England is a bit far-fetched, so this is a great opportunity.”

Congratulations George from all at Vital Posh!
