At 3-1 down to Fulham on Saturday, with only five or six minutes to go, supporter`s could have been forgiven for thinking we were about to lose again.

However, cometh the hour cometh the man and super-sub (for the day) George Boyd came to our rescue with two late goals.

After the game, much of the press attention was focused on George and he spoke about his brace as well as giving an insight into what next season may hold for him,

‘I felt good against Fulham and it was nice to get a couple of goals as I haven’t scored for a while.”

‘The whole team were much better in the second half. We deserved to get back into it and prove we can compete with the best teams around.”

‘As a group we have a lot of quality and we showed that in the last 45 minutes against a very good side.”

‘Playing well against a team that was one of the best in the country last season will stand us in good stead for this season.”

‘We have to have the belief that we can beat good teams and I for one am really looking forward to it.”

‘I always back myself and have great faith in my ability and I think one day I will play for Posh in the Premier League. That is the dream for all of us.”

George, it`s a dream we all cherish and a dream we hope will, eventually, come true.
