I`m not sure exactly how long ago it was we ran an article whereby we implied Darren Ferguson might raid Posh for players he was very familiar with, but the prospect has now become reality.

Peterborough United have admitted that Darren has been in contact with regards to signing Paul Coutts.

Coutts, signed by Darren from Cove Rangers in 2008, has, since arriving at Posh, gone on to play for the Scotland U21 side, it was thought that he`d be one player Mark Cooper would be desperate to hang on to, but apparently not.

Speaking to the local media, Mark has commented,

“Darren clearly thinks Paul is a very good player and we always thought he might come in for him.”

“Every player in the world has his price and I would suggest that if the money is right and Paul wants to go then he will go.”

All that remains to be sorted, we suggest, is the price!
