Posh – Down to the Grey Matter?

Was it just a blip on Saturday or have we got ideas above our station with regards to automatic promotion?

Beforehand all the talk was that it was there for the taking, that come Saturday night we`d have leap-frogged our Buckinghamshire neighbours and would be nestling behind Leicester City in second place.

Sadly, we now sit in third place and the gap between us and the MK Dons is still there and they still have games in hand.

But, as we all know, football can be a funny old game, gaps that seem safe suddenly disappear and Darren Ferguson, after the Southend United game, was keen to keep the squads confidence up remarking,

“We have 12 games left and it is going to go to the wire whether it is for automatic promotion or the play-offs.”

“We have to make sure we hold our nerve and stay strong. It is what is between the players` ears that matters now.”

Ah! All down to the old grey matter then!
